📧🔒 Email Obfuscator is a free tool designed to protect your email address from spam bots and automated scrapers. By encoding your address into HTML entities, it stays readable for humans but hidden from most crawlers.
Spam‑bots today are far more advanced than they used to be. Many can crawl websites, parse JavaScript, and recognize common obfuscation tricks. Encoding your e‑mail address adds an important layer of protection, making it harder for automated scrapers to harvest it while keeping it perfectly usable for real visitors.
Type the text you want visitors to see (for example, Contact Support) and then enter the actual e‑mail address you want linked (for example, support@yourdomain.com). Click Generate, and you’ll get an encoded snippet of HTML. Paste that snippet into your site, and your visitors will see a normal link, but behind the scenes the address is encoded to reduce spam exposure.
For instance, instead of writing the plain link:
<a href="mailto:support@yourdomain.com">Contact Support</a>
You’ll paste the encoded version, which looks like:
<a href="mailto:support@yourdomain.com?subject=&body=">Support</a>
Visitors will still see Contact Support, but the underlying address is encoded to make it harder for bots to scrape.
